Princess Diana Spencer Crown
This is our crown version of the famous 'Spencer Tiara' worn by Princess Diana. This elegant crown is mounted in a sterling silver plate frame with open heart scroll detailing. The varying shapes of Genuine Austrian Crystal give it that old world feel.
Princess Diana used it as her something 'borrowed' for her wedding in 1981. The Spencer Tiara is often confused with her other favorite, the Lover's Knot Tiara. Both have quite the romantic feel and would be perfect for any bride.
The Spencer Tiara was originally owned by Viscountess Montagu around 1767 and given to Diana's Grandmother, Viscountess Althorp in 1919 as a wedding gift by Lady Spencer. It is said that during that time several adjustments to the tiara were made. The only original piece given to Diana's grandmother was probably the central one, she had the rest of it restored and remounted.
