George IV Diadem Crown
Our George IV Diadem Crown is a recreation of the George IV State Diadem made 1820 by the firm Rundell, Bridge and Rundell for the coronation of King George IV. The original includes 1333 diamonds weighing 325.75 carats (65.15 g), and 169 pearls along its base. Its design features roses, thistles and shamrocks, the symbols of England, Scotland and Ireland respectively. The diadem was also worn during the coronation procession of Queen Victoria, and later Queen Elizabeth II. It is also worn today by Queen Elizabeth II in the procession to the State Opening of Parliament. It has been featured in many portraits of the Queen, including one by Raphael Maklouf that appears on Commonwealth coinage and on British stamps. The attempt was to keep it as close to the original as possible. We think we achieved that and more!
This is a full round crown with Genuine Austrian Crystals with the addition of two rows of pearls at the base and the one Light Topaz stone accent in the center cross makes this crown very special. This crown can be worn by both king or queen. It would be stunning as a coronation crown!
